This image is from the first edition of the Olive Fairy Book by Andrew Lang, a Scottish poet and anthropologist. The book was compiled by Lang in 1907, illustrated by Henry J. Ford, and published under the editorial direction of Lang's wife, Leonora Alleyne. It was part of the twelve-volume series Lang's Fairy Books, with each book named after the color of its fairy.
