A brilliant workshop design from the 16th century in Cairo is responsible for this journal cover. Although the name of this workshop has been lost to history, the detailed pattern and fine materials demonstrate why books from this workshop were so highly valued. Today, the original binding is part of the collection at the Kunstpalast Museum in Düsseldorf.
