The Paperblanks notebook Equinoxe Azure Blue reproduces the cover of L’office de la Semaine Sainte from 1688, which was adorned in a fanfare style with a handcrafted pattern featuring a gold border. The fanfare style was particularly popular in the 17th century, requiring a high level of skill from the bookbinder and was used only for extremely important books.
