Every year, millions of disposable paper cups are used to serve coffee and other beverages to customers in coffee shops, cafés, or restaurants. The cups are made from paper fibers coated with a thin layer of plastic that acts as a barrier against liquid leakage. The paper fibers used are of high quality and can therefore be given new life through upcycling into new and useful everyday items.
