One day, a talking encyclopaedia called Enzo suddenly falls from the sky on the island where the Yoshis live. There are all sorts of strange creatures to discover on its pages. To find out more about them, Yoshi dives into Enzo's pages.

During his explorations, Yoshi can eat the creatures, jump on them or even give them piggyback rides. Using his abilities, Yoshi explores all kinds of peculiarities of the creatures romping around on Enzo's pages. Some make flowers bloom, others create bubbles - and with each new discovery, paths open up to new areas where there is much more to discover.
