On your journey, you will have the opportunity to visit different gyms. You are not alone in this, as Galar is home to newly discovered Pokémon, among which you can choose your very first partner.

Your adventure in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield begins when you select one of three new Pokémon. Grookey is a mischievous monkey Pokémon of the Grass type, brimming with curiosity. Scorbunny is a Fire-type rabbit Pokémon that zips around with boundless energy. Sobble is a Water-type lizard Pokémon. It is somewhat timid and prefers to attack from its hiding spot.
