Recently, camera manufacturers have criminally neglected entry-level cameras. As a result, hardly any new models have come onto the market that are available from specialist retailers for less than 1000 euros - let alone for less than 500 euros. In the days of DSLRs, the choice in this price range was much greater...

The combination of first-class autofocus and crop factor makes the Z50ll interesting not least for animal photographers. Those who do not need more than 21 megapixels are still well advised to use the sensor, which has very good noise behaviour. Nevertheless, there are still wishes that a top-of-the-range DX model could fulfil: above all, a larger viewfinder, automatic sensor cleaning and image stabilisation...
The Z50 Il sits comfortably in the hand thanks to its pronounced grip. It delivers high quality photos and videos. The autofocus recognises the subject very accurately and at very high speed. The Z50 Il films in 4K with up to 60 frames per second and 10-bit colour depth. A real advantage of the Z50 lI, especially on sunny days: the viewfinder is twice as bright as that of the competition.

Nikon has introduced a real APS-C powerhouse with the Z50ll. For 999 euros, you get a camera that is surprisingly well equipped and well equipped for all conceivable shooting situations. The Z50ll is therefore a sensible investment for many - whether as a compact second camera, for vlogging or as a comparatively inexpensive introduction to creative photography with a system camera.
