The Meinl Wind Gongs are handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy in a traditional manner. They are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs. The shape is nearly flat, allowing the vibration to spread extremely far with a long sustain. One sound characteristic is the predominantly deep tones, but by playing more vigorously, hissing overtones can also be achieved. Each gong comes with a matching mallet.
