The Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gongs are traditionally handcrafted using a special bronze alloy. The gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs. Their shape is nearly flat, allowing the gong's vibration to spread extremely widely while maintaining a long sustain. The sound characteristic is predominantly deep, and when played with more force, it beautifully unfolds with swirling overtones. Each gong comes with a mallet tailored to the size of the gong.
