The Meinl Sonic Energy Wind Gongs are traditionally handcrafted using a special bronze alloy. The gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs. Their shape is nearly flat, which allows the vibration of the gong to spread extremely widely while maintaining a long sustain. The sound characteristic is predominantly deep, and when the gong is played more forcefully, it beautifully unfolds with shimmering overtones. Each gong comes with a mallet that is tailored to the size of the gong.
