A matrix switch provides the ability to independently and simultaneously distribute AV content from multiple source devices to multiple displays in freely selectable switching configurations. The 2x2 HDMI 8K60 matrix offers a solution for distributing content from two source devices to two target devices (displays, TVs, or projectors). Two HDMI inputs and outputs allow switching between two separate source devices or two connected HDMI displays, enabling the output of video signals from one or two sources to two displays. Support for 8K HDMI signals allows for the transmission of high-resolution 4K UHD resolutions up to 3840x2160@120Hz or 8K 7680x4320@60Hz, while HDR capability (High Dynamic Range) enables video playback with unprecedented brilliance, high contrasts, and an extended color gamut – the perfect solution for high-quality home theater environments or smaller digital signage setups in retail. Integrated support for HDCP 2.3 ensures that protected content is not excluded, for example, when using Blu-ray players, set-top boxes, or 4K media players as source devices. The straightforward EDID management via a switch on the front of the device always ensures the use of the best possible resolution, depending on the combination of source and target device. In addition to HDMI audio pass-through, a TosLink and a 3.5 mm audio output also allow for the extraction of the audio signal from the HDMI data stream – for instance, to drive soundbars, analog speaker systems, or AV receivers, thereby creating an immersive audio experience to complement the high-resolution video images on the displays.
