The Lindy Cat.6 HDMI 18G & IR Extender with PoC is an efficient, reliable solution for transmitting high-quality 4K HDMI signals using a standard Cat.5e/6 network cable over distances of up to 50 meters. HDMI 2.0 18G allows for the transmission of detailed 4K Ultra HD resolutions. The additional High Dynamic Range (HDR) support ensures that video content is displayed with higher brightness, greater contrast, and a wider color spectrum, making it perfect for a fantastic home theater experience or eye-catching digital signage systems in retail. Lossless audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, deliver powerful multi-channel sound to the videos, providing a realistic movie experience. HDCP 2.2 allows playback of 4K content from copy-protected sources such as Blu-ray movies, media players, and streaming services without compatibility issues.

The extender features an HDMI loop-through output on the transmitter, enabling simultaneous viewing on a local and remote display. With its high flexibility, the extender offers solutions for various scenarios, such as presentation systems in the education sector, home theater systems, or trade shows. The integrated EDID DIP switch allows the user to select an EDID from either display, ensuring easy installation and configuration with maximum compatibility with HDMI displays. PoC enables the transmission of power and data signals over a Cat.6 cable in a point-to-point configuration, requiring only one power supply for both the transmitter and receiver—ideal when the number of available power outlets is limited. The IR pass-through function allows control of source devices with compatible infrared remote controls from the remote displays.
