The Lindy MPO Fibre Optic HDMI 8K60 Extender is an effective and reliable solution for extending UHD HDMI transmissions over distances up to 100m using one Type A MPO OM3 multimode fibre optic cable.

The extender can transmit 7680x4320 at 60Hz 4:4:4 10bit signals up to 100m with an MPO cable without compression, allowing for the distribution of lossless UltraHD content. With HDR (High Dynamic Range), HLG, and Dolby Vision support, content can be viewed with enhanced contrast and a much wider colour gamut. The support for lossless audio formats, including Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD, adds powerful multi-channel sound to video content, providing an enhanced experience and sense of realism to the viewer.

The use of MPO multimode fibre optic cabling allows for the transmission of high bandwidth data over long distances. Fibre optic cables are also completely immune to any electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, making this extender an ideal solution for installations in environments susceptible to high interference, such as medical, aerospace, and manufacturing facilities. The compact size and flexibility also allow for easy installation under floors and within wall partitions.

The low power requirement and super slim form factor provide invaluable flexibility when incorporating this extender into new and existing installations. Both units have integrated fibre optic cables with MPO Male connectors; a Type A MPO Female to Female cable (not included) can be connected to the units using two included MPO couplers.

Both units also have integrated USB cables to provide power. The transmitter unit can be powered by the HDMI source, while the receiver needs to be powered via a USB port connecting it to a 5V USB charger or any powered USB port.
