The Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 50 series consists of high-quality USB sticks in Type A and Type C, providing enterprise-level security with FIPS 197 certified AES 256-bit hardware encryption in XTS mode, including protection against BadUSB through digitally signed firmware and against brute-force password attacks. As these are encrypted storage devices under the physical control of the user, the VP50 series offers significantly better data privacy than the internet or cloud services. Vault Privacy 50 supports the multi-password option (Admin, User, and one-time recovery) with complex or passphrase modes. This allows for better recovery of access to data if one of the passwords is forgotten. In the traditional complex mode, passwords of 6 to 16 characters are allowed using 3 out of 4 character sets.
