With this design for the Italian brand Kartell, he successfully references the essential, the most romantic light source: the candle and its gentle, warm glow. Instead of flickering candlelight, Philippe Starck elegantly implements his idea of a modern electric candle: the slender, elongated body radiates a soft light that is dimmable in three levels and lasts up to 40 hours on the lowest setting. The flush-mounted base houses the battery, which can be recharged via USB for a romantic use time and again.
