Kartell FL/Y pendant light

FL/Y small pendant lamp. A classic from the late sixties? Not quite! The original design by Ferruccio Laviani dates back to 2002 – and only the designer himself is from 1960. In his use of the popular plastic lampshade, Ferruccio Laviani is not solely focused on aesthetic considerations: the light spheres, reminiscent of soap bubbles, are cut slightly below the center rather than at their meridian for optimal light diffusion. Kartell offers the lampshade in various colors – from clear or colored transparency to opaque elegance in metallic and non-colors, allowing each room to appear in a different light. The transparent versions, in particular, reveal a beautiful detail: the suspension with up to 190 cm of cable length shines with a chrome lamp holder and included light bulb. In short, the FL/Y pendant lamp is an exciting Italian lighting design that ranges from vibrant and colorful to elegantly monochrome – it pairs beautifully with Kartell's metallic-glossy Cindy table lamp.
