Innolux Kuplat pendant light

Kuplat pendant light. Shimmering like a "soap bubble": Yki Nummi designs a translucent plastic shade for the Finnish brand Innolux, with an enchanting shimmering in the light. While the outer lampshade varies in clear to delicately tinted transparency, the inner, always white acrylic reflector firstly shields any possible glare. Secondly, it skilfully hides the direct view of the lamp to be inserted into the E27 socket itself. Thirdly, it reflects the light intensity. A particularly beautiful detail is the contrasting colour of the lamp socket's housing. Innolux supplies this formidable "soap bubble", the Kuplat pendant lamp, in two sizes, the larger being a variation on the original design from 1959.
