One of the legendary muscle cars, the Pontiac Firebird has a long and impressive history. In the late 70s, the Firebird was extremely popular and even made it to Hollywood.
This resulted in the black "Bandit" version with some gold trimmed parts!
The first Firebirds were produced in 1967 and shared chassis with the Chevrolet Camaro. The Pontiac Firebird continued to evolve and gain popularity ever since. In 1978, you could choose between a V6 or one of 5 different V8 engines that delivered up to 200hp. To properly celebrate Pontiac's 50th birthday, the Special Edition with gold trim and a few other extras was released in 1976. The popularity and success became even greater with the action comedy 'Smokey and the Bandit', which is why unofficially the Firebird was always traded as the 'Bandit' edition! Our replica of this Hollywood icon includes all the shapes and features of the original scaled down to 1/10th scale to fit all touring cars!
