Due to its heat resistance and durability against alcohols and chemicals, nylon is particularly useful in technical and mechanical applications. It is extremely durable, stable, and mechanically robust. It can be easily processed and painted with metal tools, making it even more versatile and functional. It is highly flexible – it can stretch up to 50% before breaking, but it is not resistant to concentrated bases and acids. Applications include mechanical parts, guides, gears; technical elements: sliding bearings, nuts.
