The Louder-ESP32-S3 Stereo Audio Development Board from Elecrow is an innovative solution for audio enthusiasts and developers. It combines the powerful ESP32-WROVER-N8R8 microcontroller with the Texas Instruments TAS5805M I2S DAC and an integrated Class D amplifier. This board allows for direct connection of passive speakers and delivers impressive audio performance of up to 2×23 W at 8 Ohms or 2×32 W at 4 Ohms. The open-source firmware offers a variety of features, including Squeezelite-ESP32 for Spotify Connect and AirPlay, as well as the ability to implement multi-room audio via Snapclient. With an onboard DSP for parametric EQ and additional sound processing functions, users can customize the sound to their liking. The mechanical compatibility with Raspberry Pi 4 cases and the option for expansion through Ethernet and microphone headers make this board a flexible choice for various projects.
