Product details
The Ducky One 3 mechanical gaming keyboard was developed to offer the best possible typing experience. It provides gamers and keyboard enthusiasts with a luxurious typing experience thanks to its high-quality finish and short response times. The switches are not soldered but mounted on sockets, making them easy to replace without any soldering. The Ducky One 3 variant available here has a mini form factor, completely omitting the numeric keypad, navigation and arrow keys, as well as the function keys. This design takes up minimal space on the desk and is particularly suitable for experienced users and passionate gamers who know exactly what they need.
With this keyboard, the manufacturer introduces its QUACK Mechanics design philosophy, which considers four key aspects crucial for the typing experience: the keycaps, the housing, the sound, and the stabilisers. Almost all variants of the Ducky One 3 feature high-quality keycaps made of PBT, a semi-crystalline plastic that is resistant to abrasion and popular among keyboard modders. Ducky moulds the keycaps from two layers of plastic to ensure the key lettering remains clearly legible. Unlike other plastics, these keycaps do not develop the usual lustre from intensive use, keeping the keyboard looking new for a long time.
A common criticism of mechanical keyboards is their clunkiness. The newly developed housing of the Ducky One 3 is flatter than that of its predecessors and, combined with the three-stage feet, relieves wrist strain. To enhance the sound and typing feel, Ducky tested 17 different rubber compounds and selected the most suitable variant for the Q-Bounce pad. This is paired with an additional layer of EVA foam to effectively dampen resonances during typing and hard keystrokes.
