This docking station expands your notebook through the Thunderbolt 3 port (USB-C) with additional ports for peripherals, networking, and external monitors. It is also capable of powering your notebook via the Thunderbolt connection used. Additionally, you benefit from enhanced security and management features such as slots for various standards of cable locks, as well as PXE and WOL support.

This variant comes with a 180-watt power supply and a Thunderbolt 3 connector module/cable. This provides the data connection to the dock while simultaneously powering the notebook. Dell notebooks can be powered with up to 130 W. Notebooks from other brands can be powered with up to 90 W thanks to the Power Delivery 3.0 standard.

The host interface module, which comes pre-equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 connector, can be replaced— for example, with the USB-C dual connector module (not included) for devices with higher power requirements. So, when you upgrade your notebook fleet, you don't need to replace all docking stations; you can simply adapt your WD19 docks with the appropriate host interface.
