The Datalogic QuickScan QM2131 bar code scanner is ideal for retail, replenishment, document processing, packaging and other applications where traditional codes dominate and area imagers often reach their
limits because of their shallower depth of field. The QM2131 combines an extra long field of view with a long scan line, allowing it to easily capture long barcodes at close range. An improved decoding library ensures very fast barcode reading.The connection to the base station is made by radio on the 433 MHz frequency band, with a range of up to 25 m. This has the advantage that it does not interfere with existing WLAN infrastructures and is hardly affected by obstacles such as concrete walls or metal shelves. If the connection is defective, up to 500 linearcodes can be buffered internally in batch mode. It can even be used completely without a charging station: The Micro-USB connection not only allows charging of the battery, but also operation in the host configuration.
