Another advantage is that the cables are designed to be thinner than passive cables. The Active series cables are the choice for installers and fitters who need to ensure highly reliable, robust transmission in the 4K/UHD range (up to 18 Gbit) over distances from 7.5 m to 20 m.

The triple-shielded Active cables are well-suited for permanent installation within buildings as well as in home theater applications. The HDMI-A connectors are fully shielded, meaning that the internal connections are protected by a surrounding metal chassis beneath the PVC housing. This provides optimal and continuous protection against interference all the way to the socket. The patented C-Grip locking system ensures that connections remain securely in place. A HDMI injector is included with the 20 m cable in case the source device does not provide enough power.
