Product details
Designed for video and photography, this 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens offers additional flexibility and range. With exceptional quality and versatility, it is the ideal companion for photography and video. With the versatile focal length range of 70-200mm, impressive photo and steady video recordings can be made, while the high speed of 1:2.8 ensures an attractive background blur. The optical image stabiliser for up to 5.5 exposure steps ensures sharp results - even more steps are possible with a camera with internal image stabilisation.
Two Super UD lenses, one UD lens, three aspherical lenses and ASC and Super Spectra coatings prevent aberrations, ghost images and stray light. In addition, a fluorine coating protects the front lens from dirt. The aperture can be changed evenly using the special aperture ring. In video mode, this is possible with 1/32 f-stops. An unlock switch for the "Auto" position allows better control and the 11-blade iris diaphragm ensures an attractive circular bokeh.
Smooth autofocus is provided by the Dual Nano USM. Professional video functions such as an electronically assisted parfocal zoom for high focus stability when zooming and the suppression of focus breathing ensure sharp and stable images. The optional Power Zoom Adapters PZ-E2 and PZ-E2B can be operated manually or via the Canon Camera Connect App, EOS Utility, Browser Remote or via IP with compatible cameras. The 20-pin interface of the PZ-E2B also supports zoom and focus devices as well as zoom rockers.
