The +2 diopters of this B+W close-up lens focus at a distance of 0.5 m for all lenses in infinity mode. Therefore, it provides a seamless extension for 50 mm lenses, allowing for an extended close-up range of up to approximately 1:4.5. For telephoto lenses up to 135 mm, the close-up range is seamlessly continued, with 85 mm lenses achieving up to about 1:3.5, 100 mm lenses up to about 1:3.2, and 135 mm lenses up to about 1:2.5.
