Product details
The special filament EPR PET was developed by the Innofil research department. This filament can be processed over a wide temperature range and at various print speeds. PET is food-safe and does not produce any odors during printing. You do not need a heated print bed for processing, as EPR PET adheres well to a print platform covered with blue tape. The material is available as a transparent, neutral filament and in nine semi-transparent colors on 500 g spools. PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is most commonly known from the production of beverage bottles, and the special properties of this material will enable many new applications in the 3D printing field. Currently, the filament materials PLA and ABS are the most commonly used for 3D printing. PLA is a popular material because it is easy to process, but it has its limitations. ABS allows for the printing of very stable parts, but processing is not as straightforward due to the shrinkage effect during cooling. PET is a very good alternative here: easy to process, no unhealthy fumes during printing, suitable for detailed prints, recyclable, and also suitable for printing very stable objects. It can be used with almost any 3D printer due to its flexible printing properties.
