Solar panels that are mounted on the same aluminium support are generally connected to each other and to the aluminium structure via the fastening clamps. If several rows are built, these must also be connected to each other. This connection is made using an 8 mm aluminium wire and corresponding terminals. The entire system must then be connected to earth for potential equalisation. This can be realised in different ways, either via an earthed roof hanger or, as in most cases, via a separate potential equalisation line.
