Tool for removing and mounting the heat spreader on Intel Kaby Lake-S, Skylake-S, and Coffee Lake-S processors. The Dr. Delid is designed for "delidding" Kaby Lake-S, Skylake-S, and Coffee Lake-S processors as well as for the precise mounting of the heat spreader after replacing the thermal paste. When removing the heat spreader, it is gently separated from the CPU by twisting, which prevents damage to the thin PCB of the processors. This twisting method distributes the force across all four edges of the CPU, unlike the common pressing method. The actual separation of the CPU from the heat spreader occurs without jerking or excessive force. The black base of the PROFESSIONAL variant is made of anodized aluminum with high surface hardness, in contrast to the standard variant, which is made of acetal.
