Alphacool Icicle pressure relief valve

In normal systems, a standard expansion tank is usually sufficient to balance the occurring pressures. The products used in a system are also pressure tested to at least 2 bar. However, for users who have many components integrated into their circuit, extreme temperature differences between idle and operating states can lead to very high pressures. In such cases, it is advisable to relieve this pressure through a pressure relief valve.

This pressure relief valve can be easily screwed into a T-piece and thus mounted at any point in the circuit. Some expansion tanks offer multiple openings where standard closure caps are used; the valve can be installed here. The 1/4" threaded connection is kept very short, only 4 mm, allowing for many other mounting locations in water cooling. The low overall height of the valve, without the thread measuring 16 mm, also supports its versatile application. The gasket attached to the bottom provides additional security to keep the system sealed. The valve allows for the release of overpressures of 0.3-0.4 kg/cm² or 4.3-5.7 psi.
