In normal systems, a standard expansion tank is usually sufficient to balance the occurring pressures. The products used in a system are also pressure tested to at least 2 bar. However, for users with many components integrated into their circuit, extreme temperature differences between idle and operating states can lead to very high pressures. In such cases, it is advisable to relieve this pressure through a pressure relief valve.

This pressure relief valve can be easily screwed into a T-piece and thus mounted at any point in the circuit. Some expansion tanks offer multiple openings where standard closure caps are used; the valve can be installed here. The 1/4" threaded connection is very short, only 4 mm, allowing for many other mounting locations in your water cooling system. The total height of the valve, without the thread, is 16 mm, which also supports its versatility. The seal located at the bottom provides additional security to keep your system leak-proof. The valve allows for the release of overpressures of 0.3-0.4 kg/cm² or 4.3-5.7 psi.
