Product details
A Feather board without ambition is a Feather board without FeatherWings! This is the Power Relay FeatherWing.
It gives you the power to control and the control over the power. Simply put, you can now turn on and off lamps, fans, solenoid valves, and other small devices. Devices that operate at up to 250VAC or DC can be used with any Feather board. Compared to our smaller FeatherWings, this one can deliver a robust 1200 watts!
With our Feather stackable headers or Feather socket headers, you can connect a FeatherWing to your Feather board and let the board take flight.
This wing features a non-latching relay. You can switch up to 10A of resistive load at 120VAC and 5A at 240VAC. For inductive loads, the value is about half of that. Check the relay's datasheet for exact switching capabilities, as these depend on the type of load and voltage type. This relay is well-suited for handling quite large devices, computers, televisions, small appliances, and more.
Each FeatherWing comes with a fully assembled and tested circuit board that you can attach to your Feather board. Soldering will close the jumper on the underside of the wing, allowing you to choose which pin to use for relay control. Some light soldering is required.
Please note: When used with high voltages (> 24V), caution is advised, and standard safety precautions should be observed! High voltages require experience and are intended for use by engineers familiar with the guidelines and who know how to apply them safely.
