Product details

The Spectrum 3D Filament PLA Thermoactive is an innovative printing material based on pure PLA and enriched with a thermochromic pigment. This unique filament allows additively manufactured objects to change color depending on the temperature. At a surface temperature above 30 °C, the color shifts from red to cream, and as the temperature decreases, the original color gradually returns. This property makes the filament particularly suitable for applications where visual identification of device status is crucial, such as in educational projects or temperature measurement devices. Additionally, the filament offers a smooth surface after printing, excellent layer adhesion, and high aesthetic surface quality without shrinkage upon cooling.

  • Color change from red to cream at temperatures above 30 °C
  • High aesthetic surface quality
  • Good layer adhesion and warping-free printing
  • Mechanical properties similar to pure PLA
  • Adjustment of color change speed depending on the wall thickness of the printed objects.
