NAS compilation
We are a young photography company and are looking for new storage options. We currently have SSD's for editing and HDD with 8TB as "final storage" and as backup during editing. As we want to access the storage from both PCs for data storage and security with the RAID settings, we were thinking about a NAS. I've already done some research, but to be honest I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the choices ^^ Maybe you can help us. We need a lot of memory, as one project has several hundred GB of memory. In addition, the data should be stored securely, as these are important images (especially weddings). What can you recommend for an enclosure, which RAID setting and how much storage or which HDDs? Should we go for a NAS with 4 slots or, for example, one with 6 and add more storage later? How much RAM should it have if we are mainly using it for data storage and not working directly on it? Thank you very much in advance!
