Yes, the cover remains open and one can actually expect a country-specific cable in this price range, or at least a Euro plug. The pressed-out, no longer removable adapter is not nice.
The projector has a gaming mode. According to various reports, the manufacturer promises very low input lag in this mode.
in a nutshell NO! there are technical procedures for this! Those have not yet made their way into consumption. I would strongly advise you not to use such a system and simply run an HDMI cable, reason: You want to use the projector for gaming --> you depend on low latency of the image signal. If you were to transmit this signal wirelessly, it would first have to be modulated, transmitted and then demodulated again. With a 4k60f/s, this not only requires enormous computing power, but also leads to a delay of your signal. With HDR10, you can just forget about it anyway. As far as I know, the current HDMI standard is not even capable of transmitting 4k with HDR! This will only be possible with HDMI 2.0! (How well this will work would still have to be tested). Have I been able to answer your question to some extent, or do you need more information?
So both HDMI inputs play back the sound on the beamer. However, only HDMI 2 has ARC
Very quiet, we were surprised! We are very sensitive to noise
Hello, I also have this one in 120". It is rather the maximum size, 100" would be better. I would have liked to use a "CINEGREY" screen, for example, a grey screen. It should be better against stray light, but unfortunately it is not available in an acoustic version. Since it comes over the speakers, I have no choice but to take the white one. Good luck.
The product has a CH plug (2-pole) that has been welded onto a neatly separated Schuko plug for the CH market. The only disadvantage: the plug at the end of the cable, which can be rolled up like a hoover, takes up a little more space in the housing, so that the cable cover flap can no longer be put on. But you can hardly see that. By the way, I am thrilled with this product and would buy it again. Netflix, for example, is preinstalled as an app. I.e. set up the projector, plug in the power cable and watch Netflix without any more tangled cables. Alternatively, for TV etc., I connect an Apple TV box with the HDMI cable.
With the right adapter (HDMI - Thunderbolt) already.... Yes
No, as far as I remember, that was not the case with us. By the way, we are very satisfied with our beamer
It is a 4K projector, but not native but via shifting - but most projectors in this price range are. I can only recommend it!
I have had the beamer since the end of 2019 and have never received an update. If I also check this on the LG website, it says that the version 3.00.05 I have installed is current. (https://www.lg.com/de/support/produkt/lg-HU80KSW). Why Webos 3.5 is written everywhere and then (in my case) 3.00.05 is installed is not clear to me so far. LG doesn't seem to be very good at maintaining their products, which is a pity. The browser is almost unusable, SRF shows black rectangles instead of movies. You can't find apps for Disney+ or other streaming services. I can't say anything about Airplay because I don't have any devices.
Laser beamers have the great advantage that you usually do not have to change the lighting. 20,000 hours of life should be more than enough. See also the same question below from Refnex57 on 30.12.2019:
We once created the space in the online shop for the item, but the price and availability is unknown. It can only be guessed that it might be available from Q3 2019. You can find this one here: LG HU85L (4K, 2500lm, DLP, Laser) .
Between 4.94 - 5.93 m. However, I would recommend not going beyond 3.00 m (120 inch, def. 3.90 - 4.68) screen width. Otherwise the light output of the unit will suffer.
The following is a detailed comparison: https://www.digitec.ch/de/Comparison/7193971-8301414 Among other things, the projection ratio is different.
Hello ASchnabl Search for "Disassembly Guide - LG HU80KA Service Manual".... On the manualslib page there are instructions that can help. I have not tried it myself. Good luck.
I have already searched for these apps, but unfortunately I did not find them in the ContentStore. Netflix, YouTube, Zattoo etc. are available instead.
Hello Ra10, it depends on the distance between the projector and the screen. Laterally, you can adjust the width of the image minimally. For example, if you are projecting at a long distance. Optical sharpness can also be easily adjusted on the side. The essential thing remains, the distance. There are projectors that you can place very close to the screen. This is not the case with the LG. It is just an image deflection mirror without optical magnification. Hope it helps, Roger
I don't know the unit, but based on the error message I would guess that the firmware/operating software is missing. -> RMA. Here it is described how to update the FW, but that does not work in this state. https://www.lg.com/de/support/software-firmware?csSalesCode=HU80KSW.AEU
Megaboom 3 works perfectly for me. With an older Sony SRS-X11 it was more difficult.
No, that is not possible. But you can pair Bluetooth speakers and if used exclusively for this purpose, they automatically connect to each other when both devices are switched on.
