Question about LG HU80KSW Presto

I had the same problem
asked LG - of course it was just after the end of the warranty. The only spare part available is practically the entire inner workings of the projector, the price is almost the same as the projector, so it's useless :-(

You have to unscrew the projector completely. Mine had a lot of dust in it. Cleaning with cleaning spray

The problem with me was that the thermal paste was "used up" between the lamp and the carbon -> therefore it got too hot very quickly.

so I disassembled everything, put 1 drop of thermal paste on it and it was good.

BUT ATTENTION : I put too much paste on it, then it got into the adjacent PCB, and then it was gone... Luckily I found the circuit board for 20 CHF as a spare part at Aliexpress. Otherwise everything would have been ruined ...

where do you live ? Why don't you come over and I'll do it for you, I've unscrewed my projector about 10 times now until I figured it out ...

hi ronny, is the lamp clean? have you done all the updates? are the vents clear? if so, i don't know what to do. greetings from timo
