The power is supplied by the uplink USB ports. This is completely sufficient for keyboard, mouse, etc. If more power is required, e.g. for an external hard drive, a 5V power supply can be connected via micro-USB. A mobile power supply or another USB power source can be used for this purpose.

I hope I understood you correctly; yes you can connect the Switch to a docking station to access a keyboard, mouse or other device (see also the diagram on the manufacturer's page). If you want to use it to connect a docking station to a computer, it probably won't work.

Unfortunately, this does not seem to work. I would also very much like to have this feature, as clicking around on the switch button is a bit awkward with 4 computers. Here is the corresponding FAQ entry: https://eservice.aten.com/eServiceCx/Common/FAQ/view.do?id=1155

I think not, this is about distributing external HDDs, scanners, printers to several devices. For what you are looking for, you have to search for KVM switch at Digitec and filter the number of inputs and outputs there. However, you still have to switch, but you can do it at the touch of a button. When booting, the drivers are loaded directly
