Yes, that works. I have also installed it this way. The USB connection in the computer and the optical cable in the PS. However, the PC must always be switched on.
I found the following on the internet, hope this helps you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTFcrBm32hQ
Yes, there is. If you plan to use voice chat, then you need to buy the correct one. Quote from Amazon: The difference is how the MixAmp Pro TR handles the voice chat. The Xbox One/PC version has a special compatibility chip inside which allows it to work with the Xbox One for voice chat just by using the USB cable although if you connected it to a PS4, it wouldn't show up because it requires "Xbox drivers" which the PS4 or PS3 can't use. Because of this, we have had to make a separate MixAmp Pro TR which works like our current one and the USB cable will work on anything that can use a generic playback and recording device such as the PS4 and PS3 and any future consoles which support the same functionality. So the MixAmp Pro TR Xbox One/PC works on the Xbox One and PC. The MixAmp Pro TR PS4/PC works on the PS4, PS3 and PC. You could use either MixAmp Pro TR on either console although if you want the full voice chat experience, you have to use the correct one. My only recommendation if you use both consoles is to purchase the A40 and MixAmp Pro TR in your favourite colour and then purchase the other MixAmp Pro TR as a standalone.
If you are using the PS4's voice chat, you can roughly change this in the party settings. The product is excellent value for money, I must say. I have used other products but would recommend the Astro the most. If you use voicechat via skype for example and still want the game sound, I recommend the bundle with the astro mix amp pro. Also very good value for money.
Hello, in my opinion the MixAmp is compatible with all headsets that are cable bound! I've had 4 different headsets on it and they all worked. I think the Razer Tesher is without cable or? Then I don't know if there is an adapter. Wired it looks like this. Hama Headset-Adapter (Stereo, Headset-Adapter) Greetings.
I would like to be able to listen to both computers, and the stream itself must of course be able to listen to both. That means game music from the game computer, but also OBS and YouTube from the stream computer. I was able to record the video well with my Elgato. But audio is really terrible at the moment, I wanted to do it without a mixer but somehow I'm too stupid for that. So this little thing should help. The only question is what do I need to make it work?
Yes, only cables from the console to the MixAmp are required, but none to the controller.
Yes, it works perfectly. I have the Astro a40 PC in combination with the MixAmp Pro TR in use with my PS4. Have fun with it :)
