Unfortunately we have no answer from our supplier, sorry. If we receive a reply from him, I will inform you here.
Yes, you can use it to upgrade old stereo systems. I'm very happy with it; AirPlay is also supported after the software update.
You cannot connect speakers directly to this adapter, but you can connect the adapter to an Aux connection on your stereo system or home cinema. Then you can use Bluetooth to stream music from your mobile phone. Or the music from a BoseSoundTouch device.
You can connect the wireless link adapter to the AUX input of your Lifestyle 12. Then you can play your music from your iPhone via the wireless link adapter on the Lifestyle 12. In addition, you can connect the link adapter to your network for Internet radio. You can also access music on your NAS or PC. This is controlled via the BOSE soundtouch app on your mobile phone. Attention: Connecting the link adapter to the network sometimes takes several attempts. Tip: The link adapter creates its own network, connects to the mobile phone and receives the parameters for your network (SSID, password). However, many mobile phones break this connection because there is no connection to the Internet. Therefore, be sure to select "Keep connected to the network even if there is no connection to the Internet" on the mobile phone.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to obtain this from any supplier.
The Bose Link is probably already aimed at a Bose system. Bose's idea is to make an outdated, analogue hi-fi system usable for web services. There is also a special app from Bose that can only be used for this. I therefore think headphones or headsets from third parties are not compatible. But Bose has a support team that might be able to help.
That should work from my point of view. However, it only works in stereo. You have to make more effort for surround.
Hello The SoundTouch Wireless Link adapter is a pure music streaming adapter that is often used in conjunction with the Soundtouch speakers to allow synchronous playback via a stereo system. The output is Toslink, so it can be connected to a Bose 700 soundbar without any problems. The home cinema functionality is set up via the soundbar.
Hoi. I can play music from my NAS on my soundtouch devices. If you have a music library on the laptop, you should be able to play it on the soundtouch link. The soundtouch retrieves the music, you can't send from the laptop to the soundtouch. I don't know if Spotify works.
No, this adapter is not suitable for that.
