Would this graphics card be suitable to upgrade an old office PC with an Intel mainboard DQ77MK (with i5 3.2 GHz and HD Graphics 2500) for children's games like Subnautica? Or do you have another suggestion?
According to the specs of the game manufacturer of Subnautica, 8GB Ram and a 64-BIT OS are mandatory. With the CPU specifications, I assume that it is an i5-3470 with 4 cores. This should be sufficient for Subnautica.
The 1050ti is sufficient in any case, as a GTX 550 ti is specified in the recommended specs.
Depending on the resolution and expectations of a gaming experience, a 1050ti is also sufficient for more demanding games.
I use the 1050ti with an i3-6500 dual core and can play many games in 1080p with medium-high settings.
Please note: The PC case must support full-height PCI cards, as this is not a LOW-profile card. The card is not particularly long, but dual slot high. However, the dimensions should be taken into account.
Furthermore, the question is whether there is room for this graphics card in this pc?
Need more precise data. How much RAM? Which i5 processor?
According to the board spec, a maximum of 32GB RAM can be installed. It should be dual-channel RAM and clocked the same as the existing RAM (1333/1600). 16GB is (almost) standard today.
