Will MyBook Duo be noisy? Does it automatically go into sleep mode when the PC goes into standby or is switched off? Does MyBook Duo make any noise in sleep mode? Does anything flash/light up (when active or in sleep mode)?

Helpful answer

In idle mode you hear nothing. When interrogating, the noise level is very moderate depending on the location (underground). The LED is more disturbing. In idle mode, it shines brightly over the entire housing. Rather disturbing in a one-room flat or bedroom.

Hi I have this WD on my Synology NAS and it goes into sleep mode but is permanently lit White!
