Question about RØDE smartLav+
Why can't I hear any difference in quality compared to the smartphone microphone? When recording video from a distance, the sound quality should be much better with this microphone plugged in. Isn't it enough to just plug in the microphone? Do I have to activate something else or something?
Lavalier mics are not for recording from a distance. A lavalier mic should not pick up these sounds. For that you need a boom mic. However, the quality should be noticeably better than that of the smartphone mic. Also, you may not want to have the phone in the picture. Lavalier mics can be hidden well.
