which functionalities will also be available without a gold licence and will be updated via a firmware update? at the moment i am using a usg20 and with the fibre 1GB it is slowly getting out of hand :-) i am missing some kind of overview of which services are chargeable and which are not...

If you want to do without that, you'd better take a VPN100 Zyxel VPN100
At least the content filter is included, which by the way also works wonderfully without SSL inspection and, in addition to the normal categories such as violence, pornography, etc., also blocks security-relevant pages such as maleware, phishing, etc. And, by the way, the content filter is also available as a service.
