where is my data? I used this thing to sort out our video data... NTFS, Windows 10 The first time I "used" it (copy to usb stick) then to produce a video of a climbing trip. Video from a climbing trip, it moved all the data from 2 days of filming in the. In the mountains simply moved in the NOTHING.... destroyed all our data, I'm still puffed. I will NEVER trust this junk again and always keep at least 2 copies on real backup media.

Hello all
I have several such plates in use and have not had any problems yet. Of course, sometimes you can have bad luck.
Basically, the problem is also due to the backup strategy. I personally store my data in a cloud and also on a NAS. It doesn't matter which disk goes down, you don't lose any data.
This also makes sense in the case of user errors.

If the disk has no error, why would the data be gone? Copied to the right place? Checked that the data is on it? Maybe a Windows problem?
Hard drives have been used as backup media for decades. So it could either be a coincidence or the wrong procedure.
