EcoFlow River 2 Max
512 Wh, 6 kg
When the Powerstation is 100% charged and a device with 30 watts is connected, I am shown a battery life of 9 hours (which is actually the case). However, that would only be 270 Wh and not 512 Wh. What am I calculating wrong or where does this difference come from? Thanks for your help!
Hello hobbit,
There are Youtube videos that explain this.
There are 2 factors. One is that you can only use part of the battery as you are not allowed to discharge it deeply. Depending on the battery installed, this can be 20-50%.
The other is the losses when converting e.g. battery voltage to 230V (if you use the sockets).
The fact that the 100% Wh of the batteries is stated instead of the actual usable capacity is probably the case with all manufacturers.
Ecoflow performs just as well/badly as the other manufacturers.
(A small note: the % display is only accurate if the power station was previously empty and is then fully charged. The more you charge a half-empty battery, the less accurately the battery display shows the capacity).
Greetings
