Question about Bose SoundSport Free

When the headphones are in the charging box, they are charged indefinitely. This means that if I don't use the headphones for a while, the battery of the case is discharged at some point and the headphones also gradually discharge. They don't seem to switch off completely O.o Can this be adjusted somewhere in the settings?

I have not found it. Unfortunately, they discharge themselves and that spoils the pleasure. The sound is very good, but that's a real drawback.
