What voltage (volts) is the unit designed for? Does it need a voltage converter? An adapter alone is usually not enough.

If it has an EU plug, it is for our European network. Say 220-240V

Hi I understand your question but cannot respond back properly in German. It's 220-240 voltage, and you don't need a converter. The adapter given along by Galaxus is enough. It's totally fine to use this cooker in Switzerland.
