What kind of power supply unit fits this USB switch? It doesn't seem to be supplied with one.

The power is supplied by the uplink USB ports. This is completely sufficient for keyboard, mouse, etc.
If more power is required, e.g. for an external hard drive, a 5V power supply can be connected via micro-USB. A mobile power supply or another USB power source can be used for this purpose.
