What is the procedure if 1 hard disk no longer works in RAID1? Can I simply replace the defective hard disk myself and after the reboot everything is copied to the new hard disk? Or does the hard disk have to be sent in for repair?

Hello, I do not own this drive, but as explained in the German manual from page 22 or 30, you can replace the defective hard drive yourself and do the status / repair with the "WD Drive Utilities software". The device does not have hot-swap, so it must be switched off to replace the defective drive.
