What is the difference between the Sony products and those from SanDisk or Nikon? Basically, I assume that the Nikon card is the best for my Nikon Z6. Or are there any recommendations from the community? Many thanks in advance!

Helpful answer

Sony is the manufacturer of such cards. Nikon only buys them (presumably from Sony, like the sensors) and sticks its label on them. You certainly can't go wrong with Sony memory cards. SanDisk is owned by Western Digital. Very renowned. You can definitely buy them.

The design of the XQD memory card differs in the dimensions.
XQD = 38.5mm x 29.8mm, with ScanDisk the largest = 24mm x 32mm.
The Nikon Z6 requires an XQD memory card from Sony or Nikon.
I recommend the 64GB, although it is a bit expensive.
Have fun with the Z6
